Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Audit
The Disability Discrimination Act first came into force in 1995. Various parts have been added to the Act over the years and Part III is due to come into force as of October 2004. Part III will require employers to ensure that their premises have viable access for disabled people.
A DDA audit is physical analysis of your premises. The audit will cover such areas as access / egress, elevators, stairs and walkways.
Once completed the audit report will provide your business with the guidance it needs to maintain a legally compliant and safe working environment.
Dependant on the size of your business an Innovative Safety Solutions auditor will spend time visually inspecting your premises. Once the inspection has been completed a comprehensive management report will be produced outlining areas of concern, non-compliance and remedial actions.
