Meet Our Team

Helen

Helen

Director

Helen is the Director of Innovative Safety, she believes that it is her job to ‘make it happen’. She is committed to delivering a sensible approach to Health & Safety where ‘reasonable’ and ‘achievable’ are key terms. She loves vibrant and interactive Training and doesn’t allow dull! Although slightly mad Helen has over 15 years experience within Health & Safety. She is a Chartered member of IOSH and does actually know what she is on about. Helen takes the lead on our Competent Persons and Consultancy Services.

Helen is a mother to a lovely, but slightly mad, little boy who she loves taking to the beach especially on windy days. When she grows up she would like to be mysterious, possibly a ballerina, especially if she can wear a purple tutu!

Peter

Peter

Technical Services Manager

Peter is the Technical Services Manager of Innovative Safety Solutions. His main roles include the design, specification and installation of Electronic Security, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm Systems, and has over 25 years of expertise in this field. Recent additions to his qualifications include PAT Testing (City + Guilds 2377) and Part P NICEIC Domestic Installers Course. Peter is also the driver of the Innovative van, his mug is ‘Boy Racer’ although that’s far from the truth!

In his spare time he is a fully committed follower of football and the England Cricket Team. His favourite colour is Anfield Red. When Peter grows up he would like to have a nice quiet life; maybe someone should tell his 8 year old!

Amanda

Amanda

Telephone Chatter

Amanda is our ‘telephone chatter’ she keeps in touch with all our customers and friends so they know how we can help them, and we know all the gossip! If you would like to get in touch with Amanda you can phone the office, or drop her an email

Amanda is an amazing baker and often treats us all to lovely cakes, if we beg for long enough! Her favorite cake to make, and eat, is the ultimate chocolate extravaganza. Two tiers of chocolate-y goodness covered in chocolate, with extra chocolate on the top. When she grows up she’d quite like to move somewhere nice and warm.

Emma

Emma

Training Manager

Emma is the Training Manager here at Innovative Safety, her main role is to manage bookings for in-house or open courses. She then arranges for the Delegates, Trainer and equpiment to all be in the same place at the same time. She co-ordinates the prepairation of training packages, making sure your delegates get a course tailored exactly to their needs. Emma really enjoys getting out and delivering training herself, especially First Aid and Food Safety.

In her spare time Emma is a leader with Girlguiding UK and is a keen enthusiast for anything pink and sparkly. Her ambition for life is to have a secret and keep it from her mother!

Darren

Darren

Trainer/Consultant

Darren splits his time between training and consultancy. His role often involves going out in the field, to the thick of the action, and producing Risk Assessments and Audits. This is reflected in what Darren trains. He uses his wealth of knowledge and experience when delivering Health and Safety courses in a vast range of subject areas. Another skill he has in his locker is his ability to make a fine cup of tea.

In his spare time Darren takes an interest in the comings and goings of Everton Football Club. He is also a keen* golfer, but spends most of his time picking up pieces of lego after his seven year old son.

*Disclaimer: We said keen, not good.

Mack

Mack

Office dog

Mack is our office dog, we are trying to teach him to type but being as he still won’t come when you call him, and occasionally runs into the glass training room door,  we probably don’t stand much chance. That aside, he is the cutest office dog we’ve ever seen.

When Mack grows up he would very much like it if he could tickle his own tummy, but for now he’ll just have to pester everyone else to do it.
